KAU and IDB Sign MoU for Nano Technology

Jeddah, September 09, SPA -- The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and
King Abdulaziz University (KAU) signed here last night a Memorandum
of Understanding (MoU) for carrying out a program on Nano Technology.

This development comes in line with the successful results of the
international conference on Nano Technology, organized under the
patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin
Abdulaziz in June 2008.

The MoU will positively contribute to enhancing cooperation between
the IDB and the University and boosting their role in the field of
economic development and social progress in the IDB's member states.

Under the MoU, an awareness program on Nano Technology will be
launched.

The awareness program includes cooperation with the standing
committee for scientific and technological cooperation, an affiliate
of the OIC and other concerned institutions.
