GCC Ministers discuss formation of Customs Union: Al-Atiyyah

Jeddah, September 09, SPA -- Secretary General of The Gulf
Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdul-Rahman Al-Atiyyah said Tuesday that
the GCC Finance and Economy Ministers have reviewed means of removing
obstacles facing the establishment of the Customs Union.

In a press statement following the Ministers' meeting held in Jeddah
last night, he said they also discussed the possibility of
establishing an investment bank and implementing a number of
important projects like the railway and electricity grid projects.

The GCC is made up of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates,
Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
