Prince Mishal highlights KAUST
Jeddah, Sept 22, SPA -- Prince Mishal bin Abdulaziz, the Chairman
the Allegiance-Pledge Commission, has underlined the significance of
opening King Abdullah University for Sciences and Technology (KAUST).
In a statement to SPA, he said the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques
King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz is keen on developing university
education throughout the Kingdom.
All educational projects in the Kingdom aim at ensuring the comfort
of the citizens, he said.
Prince Mishal lauded the important role which will be undertaken by
KAUST in the field of scientific research.
The university will attract prominent scientists from the Kingdom and
other parts of the world in addition to innovators and gifted persons
in the domains of industry, technology and development of programs
and studies which serve the process of development, national economy
and contribute to development of knowledge through economic projects.
It will also realize effective and sustainable partnership with
private sector, he added.
Prince Mishal drew attention to the efforts of King Abdullah as
regards implementing educational projects which realize the
aspirations of the researchers and members of the universities'
academic staff.
All projects implemented in the country aimed at the service of the
citizens, he said.
Prince Mishal expressed good wishes to King Abdullah and to Crown
Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz hoping that Prince Sultan will return to
homeland after recovery.
