OIC congratulates the Kingdom

Jeddah, Sept 23, SPA -- OIC's secretary general Professor Ekmeleddin
Ihsan Uglo has congratulated the Kingdom on the occasion of opening
King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST).

In a press statement here today, he said this university will
positively contribute to the promotion of the scientific research in
the Kingdom.
He pointed out that KAUST embodies the great attention being given by
the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah to the promotion
of science and technology and enhancing the capabilities of the Saudi
society.
The Muslim nation is in need of modern sciences so as to catch the
train of the developed courtiers, he said.
Uglo praised the big strides made by the Kingdom under the wise
leadership of King Abdullah in the various domains.
