KAUST opening attendees make statements on the occasion

Thuwal, Saudi Arabia, September 23, SPA -- A number of world leaders
and representatives who attended the opening ceremony of King
Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Thuwal this
evening gave statements to the Saudi Press Agency, highlighting the
event and describing it as one of the academic edifices of the
century.
They said the university is expected to transfer the Kingdom into a
new era of knowledge.
Given the cost and record time of the university, it could be
described as an unprecedented academic facility, they agreed.
The interviewed said the orientation of the university as universal
has offered it a giant jump at the start of its course. This would
provide it with a new academic and research privilege, they said,
adding that the university is expected to be home for those with
great ambitions and great ideas.
