Australian newspaper highlights national day

Canberra, Sept 24, SPA -- An Australian newspaper has issued a
special supplement on the occasion of the Kingdom national day.

The supplement issued by 'Canberra Times' included speeches delivered
by the Australian foreign minister, the Australian embassy in Riyadh,
Australian officials and the Saudi ambassador to Australia on the
occasion of the national day.
The speeches highlighted the comprehensive development witnessed by
the Kingdom in the various domains and its pioneering role at the
regional and international arenas.
The paper pointed out that the Kingdom celebrates the 79th
anniversary of its national day amid great achievements accomplished
by its officials.
The paper praised the international initiatives of the Custodian of
the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to enhance the
pillars of understanding and dialogue among the nations.
It also lauded the Kingdom's significant role as regards solving
global economic crisis as well as the problems of climate change and
food security.
