ASTANA, October 6 (Itar-Tass) - Kazakhstan and France have signed an
agreement to create two satellites, the president of the national space
agency of Kazakhstan (Kazcosmos), Talgat Musambayev, said on the sidelines
of the Kazakh-French business forum on Tuesday.

The agreement "will allow us to create together with France the Earth
remote sensing system of middle and low resolution," he said.
"This is a breakthrough in Kazakhstan's space industry. None of the
CIS member-states has such a system. We will be the first," Musambayev
said.
