KHABAROVSK, October 12 (Itar-Tass) -- A bus, which was carrying
children, has overturned near the village of Ilyinka in a Khabarovsk
neighbourhood on Sunday evening. No one from 16 children in the bus were
seriously injured, the main emergencies department in the Khabarovsk
Territory told Itar-Tass on Monday.
Seven children were brought to the territorial hospital, the
emergencies department said. They were permitted to go home after a
medical examination.
The schoolchildren went on weekend to the Skif countryside tourist
base. The bus overturned when the children were coming back to the city.

.Ecuador president intends to boost bilateral coop with Russia.
BOGOTA, October 12 (Itar-Tass) -- Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa
said ahead of his official visit to Moscow due on October 29 that he
intends "to broaden bilateral relations and cooperation, including in the
defence sphere."
"I hope that we will achieve concrete results on several agreements,
the negotiations on which are advancing gradually. Russia and Ecuador are
interested in broader friendly bilateral relations, including in the
mining and oil producing industries, infrastructure and defence," Correa
said.
"Russia has a rich experience in these spheres and could share it with
Ecuador, because we are planning to make the armed forces of our country
more operative. More weapons supplies for the Ecuadorian army are not in
question, but military hardware, which we have at our disposal, is already
unsuitable for the current tasks," the president said.
"Russia is interested in broader ties in all spheres," particularly in
the trade and economic sphere, the Ecuadorian leader added. "We can offer
many goods for exports, and we are ready to explore the Russian market
that has not been done before over the excessive orientation of many
former Ecuadorian presidents for the trade with the United States," Correa
pledged.
The visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in the South
American country in November 2008 and that of his Ecuadorian counterpart
Fander Falconi in Russia in June 2009 gave a fresh impetus to the
development of the relations between the countries. The Ecuadorian Foreign
Ministry said the bilateral trade made about 700 million dollars in 2008
with the Ecuadorian exports in Russia reaching 548.5 million dollars.
Russia and Ecuador have 18 effective bilateral agreements on cooperation
in various spheres and are elaborating seven more agreements.
