UAE, Australia discuss educational cooperation
Abu Dhabi, Oct 13, 2009 (WAM) - Minister of Education HE Dr. Humaid Mohammed Obeid Al Qatami hailed the depth of cooperation and coordination between the United Arab Emirates and Australia in the field of education and stressed the keenness of the country for maintaining the openness to the world.
He also reiterated the country's interest to build bridges with cultures of various nations in order to benefit from their experiences and knowledge.
This was stated during a meeting in Abu Dhabi on Sunday between the Minister and Anna Maria Bligh Governor of the Australian state of Queensland and the accompanying delegation currently on an official visit to UAE.
The meeting also discussed ways of cooperation between the UAE and Australia in the areas of education and issues of common concern.
