Customs union docs to be ready Nov EurAsEc Summit.
BEIJING, October 14 (Itar-Tass) --The documents on setting up a
Customs Union will be ready to be signed by the heads of the EurAsEc
states by November summit, Karim Massimov, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan
said at a meeting with the Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.
"Next week the Kazakhstani delegation will arrive in Moscow and during
a meeting with the first Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov all the
documents will be further harmonized, so that they are ready to be signed
at a EurAsEc summit by the end of November and the Customs Union, as have
been agreed, will come into effect since January 1," Massimov said.
He also reported, by the end of next year Kasakhstan will finish
putting in due condition the southern border. "The borders of the zone of
our responsibility will thus be closed up", Massimov said.
Vladimir Putin, in his turn, noted, one should, as agreed, finish
setting up the Customs Union by January 1 and prepare all the decisions
for the heads of the states.
