.Kyrgyz president makes reshuffle at top governing bodies.
26/10 Tass 207
BUSHKEK, October 26 (Itar-Tass) - President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek
Bakiyev has dismissed Secretary of the Kyrgyz Security Council Adakhan
Madumarov from his post on Monday and signed other decrees, appointing a
number of officials to key state posts, the press service of the Kyrgyz
president told Itar-Tass on Monday.
In the reformed structure, the duties of the Secretary of the
Security Council are to be performed by the state councilor for affairs
of defense, security and law enforcement. This post is vacant yet. The
Kyrgyz president also sacked former secretary for ideological work Nur
Uula Dosbol because no such post exists in the new structure of the
Kyrgyz managing bodies.
President Bakiyev announced his plans to make cardinal reforms in
the system of state governing bodies at a conference held on October 20.
The Kyrgyz president suggested transforming the presidential
administration into an institute of the president to encompass the
apparatus, secretariat, the central agency for the development of
innovations, a state councilor for defense, security and law enforcement
and a state minister of foreign affairs. The Kyrgyz president also
suggested narrowing the structure of the government to 14 ministries,
seven agencies and six federal services.
The reform of the government is complete. Former chief of the
presidential administration Daniyar Usenov replaced the former Prime
Minister, Igor Chudinov, who had resigned from his post on his own free
will.
Kanybek Zhoroyev was appointed head of the apparatus of the
president's institute.
Kadyrbek Sarbayev was earlier appointed to the post of the State
Minister for foreign affairs. The Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry is no longer
part of the reformed government, but is subordinate directly to the
president.
