Five A/H1N1/ flu cases confirmed in Buryatia.



ULAN-UDE, October 26 (Itar-Tass) -- Five A/H1N1/ flu cases were
confirmed in the laboratory tests in the Russian republic of Buryatia, the
press service of the republic's health ministry told Itar-Tass on Monday.
Two adults and three children got infected with A/H1N1/ flu. Two children
are of pre-school age. All of them were hospitalised at the infectious
disease hospital. "Their condition does not cause any fears," the press
service said.
The kindergarten, where the infected children went, is closed for
quarantine in Ulan-Ude. More than 90 people - children and the
kindergarten's personnel - got in contact with the infected children.
The inquiry found out that the A/H1N1/ flu virus was brought to
Buryatia from Mongolia, where the adult went on a mission. He infected all
his family. Alongside, the infection was also brought from Chita. A
second-form girl from a Chita school closed for quarantine visited
Ulan-Ude. The girl attended a wedding ceremony of her relatives. Some 250
guests went to the wedding party.

.Moscow to commemorate theatre hostage drama victims.

MOSCOW, October 26 (Itar-Tass) -- A remembrance service will be held
in commemoration of the victims of a terrorist act committed at the
Dubrovka theatrical centre here on Monday. People will release 130 white
balloons equal to the number of the terror victims in the skies at the
Dubrovka theatrical centre and will lay flowers at the memorial plaque. A
requiem concert will be held. Servicemen of the Guard of Honour will lay
flowers at the memorial on the square at the theatrical centre.
"On this day people will recall about the tragedy, which made many
people to learn what the death of friends and relatives is like. It is
impossible to forget it," prefect of the South-Eastern Administrative
District of Moscow Vladimir Zotov told Itar-Tass. He noted that a
remembrance service on the occasion of the 7th anniversary of the tragic
events taking place at a performance of the Nord-Ost musical in
commemoration of the terror victims will be held at 10 a.m. Moscow time on
Monday on the square at the theatrical centre, during the minute of
silence the names of the terror victims will be read out, a religious
remembrance service will be held at the noon on Monday.
In the evening on October 23, 2002, 40 terrorists broke into the
Dubrovka theatrical centre and took hostage 914 actors and spectators of
the Nord-Ost musical. Most hostages were released in a special operation
about 50 hours later, early in the morning on October 26. Special agents
were used that caught the terrorists unawares, as the latter were
preparing to explode the building at the slightest signs of a storm. The
tragedy claimed 130 hostages.
