Hanoi interested in closer relations with Moscow - Vietnamese prime minister.

HANOI, November 10 (Itar-Tass) -- Vietnam attaches great importance to the development of friendly relations and strategic partnership with Russia, Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said during Tuesday's meeting with newly-appointed Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Andrei Kovtun.

The government and the Vietnamese people will do their utmost to
strengthen and intensify strategic partnership with Russia in all spheres,
the prime minister said.
Dung pointed to the importance to expand bilateral interaction in such
spheres, as politics, economy, trade and investment cooperation, energy
sector, science and technologies, and education.
The Russian ambassador, in turn, emphasised that Russia traditionally
considers Vietnam as one of the top-priority partners in the Southeast
Asia and the Asia-Pacific region.
Kovtun confirmed that he would continue to take efforts to enhance and
develop friendly relations and full-fledged cooperation between the two
countries at his new post.
The professional activity of the Russian diplomat has been linked with
