China ready to strengthen military coop with Kazakhstan.

BEIJING, November 13 (Itar-Tass) -- China jointly with Kazakhstan is
ready to work on further intensification of exchanges and cooperation in
the military sphere, chief of the General Staff of the People's Liberation
Army of China Colonel-General Chen Bingde, as the news agency Xinhua
reports, said at a meeting with deputy chairman of the National Security
Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bulat Kirgizbayev here on Friday.
"We attach great importance to friendly relations with the Armed
Forces of Kazakhstan," the Chinese general said expressing the hope that
the two countries' military men will exert efforts to advance bilateral
ties. At the same time, Chen Bingde highly assessed the level of
development of relations in different fields between the two countries
since the moment of the establishment of diplomatic relations 17 years ago.
For his part, Bulat Kirgizbayev gave high praise to China's
achievements in socio-economic building, stressing that "Kazakhstan
considers China to be a good friend, neighbor and partner." According to
him, the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan are ready to build up cooperation with
the Chinese military, in particular, in the issue of border guarding and
other directions.
