RI TARGETING SEA GAMES 2011 OVERALL CHAMPIONSHIP
Jakarta, Nov 14 (ANTARA) - Indonesia has set itself the target of winning the overall championship of the Southeast Asian Games (Sea Games) in 2011, a sports ministry official said.
"Indonesia will prepare its contingents and organize the event as well as possible in order to achieve its target of becoming the overall champion," Wafid Muharram, secretary to the minister for sports and youth affairs, said here on Saturday.
He said that the overall championship target should be achieved in a sportsman's-like and respectable way. By preparing the contingents and organizing the events maximally, Indonesia will be praised by other countries.
As the host of the Sea Games, Indonesia will prepare the provinces of South Sumatra, Central Java, West Java and Jakarta as the venues of the sports events.***
