Rupee falls by 4 paise against dollar in opening trade

Mumbai, Dec 29 (PTI) The rupee Tuesday depreciated by 4
paise to 46.69 a dollar in the opening trade on demand for the
US currency, which rose against other Asian currencies.

Dealers said demand for the US currency from importers
and fears of capital outflows by foreign funds weighed on the
Indian rupee.
The dollar strengthened against other Asian currencies
which also impacted rupee sentiments.
The rupee had ended 22 paise higher at 46.65/66 against
the dollar in previous trading. PTI RS
