Kazakhstan’s e-Government application received the prestigious award in introduction of innovative solutions First World Govtechineers Race-2017 in Dubai. Kazakhstan’s development outpaced such countries as Russia and the USA. Kazakh Minister of Information and Communication Dauren Abayev received the award from Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Emir of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The awarding ceremony was held as part of the World government summit 2017.

We are very happy now because our application was recognized not only in Kazakhstan but also abroad. To be honest, we did not expect it and we didn’t submit any applications. We received a letter informing about the summit and the nomination of e-government applications.
Dauren Abayev and the UAE Ministers shared views on effective information management. Now it will be easier to keep the track of events in the two countires: Kazakhstan’s information agency signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the leading Arab portal Emirates News.

As I talked to the Minister, I said the opportunity that we always show as the media organization show the interest and show the same interest that we have between our leadership and to show to our people that we are sharing many things and information and everything that we will have on both sides that will increase also more relationship between both countries. I think many people in UAE they would like to know more about Kazakhstan.
Astana and Dubai are also cooperating in the preparation to the international exhibition. Many UAE citizens say they are looking forward to the beginning of Astana Expo 2017 and expect a lot from it.
