Akylbek Zhaparov meets with president of Uzbekistan

Bishkek, April 27, 2023. /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov met with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev as part of his working visit to Tashkent on the sidelines of the II Tashkent International Investment Forum.

The press service of the Cabinet said that during the meeting, topical issues of further development of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations of strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation were discussed.

Particular attention is paid to supporting joint business initiatives and promising investment projects, establishing cooperation in the economic, industrial, transport, logistics and agricultural sectors.

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers noted with satisfaction the results of active work on the implementation of the reached agreements, in accordance with the adopted joint Roadmap, mentioning the recent opening of the Osh State Uzbek Music and Drama Theater named after Babur as a good example.

Akylbek Zhaparov also wished a successful nationwide referendum on the law on the Constitution of Uzbekistan in a new edition.

In turn, Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted the wide opportunities for further development of the practical partnership between the two countries and saturation of the interaction agenda with specific projects.

The meeting was held in a traditionally open, businesslike and friendly atmosphere.
