Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to UK meets with British MPs

Bishkek, May 3, 2023. /Kabar/. Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UK Ulan Dzhusupov met with the head of the Foreign Affairs Committee (FAC) of the British Parliament Alicia Kearns, as well as members of the Committee - deputies Christopher John Bryant, Neil Alan John Coyle and others.

During the conversation, the British deputies were interested in the current political agenda for the development of the Kyrgyz Republic and its relations with the countries of Central Asia. In order to further develop inter-parliamentary cooperation, in accordance with previously reached agreements, a delegation of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the British Parliament is going to visit the Kyrgyz Republic in May 2023.

Kearns said that their visit is aimed at a broader study of the possibilities of intensifying contacts, strengthening bilateral relations and making recommendations not only for the long term, but also for the near future.

Dzhusupov briefed about the socio-economic development of the Kyrgyz Republic, the current state of Kyrgyz-British relations, outlined priorities, the main of which is the development of trade and economic cooperation.

The parties also discussed the issues of sending citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic for seasonal agricultural work in the UK, the international agenda, including climate change and green development.
