Anniversary of Pyongyang Schoolchildren's Palace Marked
Pyongyang, October 1 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang Schoolchildren's Palace marked its 60th founding anniversary.
The 60-year history of the palace is associated with the great loving care of the peerlessly great men.
The great leader Generalissimo Kim Il Sung initiated the construction of the children's palace and chose its site and took all measures for the construction of the palace, though there were many things to do in the liberated country and the country was in difficult circumstances.
The great leader Generalissimo Kim Jong Il saw to it that the statue of Kim Il Sung was erected at the schoolchildren's palace, and enjoyed a performance given by members of its art group and guided the schoolchildren to grow up to be competent reserves of talents.
The respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un sent a lot of musical instruments as gifts and brightly showed the road ahead of the palace.
Over the past 60 years, the palace has conducted brisk activities for hobby groups and mass education, strikingly showing the bright and vigorous looks of the rising generation of Juche Korea and the advantages of the socialist educational system of the country.
A meeting took place on September 30 to mark the anniversary of the palace.
Present there were Ri Tu Song, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, officials concerned and officials, teaching staff and hobby group members of the Pyongyang Schoolchildren's Palace.
At the end of the meeting, a performance "Song of Happiness Resounding on Jangdae Hill" was given by teachers and members of art groups of the palace to mark its 60th founding anniversary. -0-
