Business delegation from Bashkortostan arrives in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, June 20, 2023. / Kabar/. Entrepreneurs from Bashkortostan arrived in Kyrgyzstan with a business mission, the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan said.

Head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic Temir Sariev held a meeting with them. The sides discussed the prospects for the development of economic ties between Kyrgyzstan and Bashkortostan and noted the importance of holding joint business forums and exhibitions that will help entrepreneurs find new partners.

Currently, Kyrgyzstan exports metals, food and engineering products to Bashkortostan. Bashkortostan is interested in the supply of food, vegetables, fruits and light industry goods to Kyrgyzstan. But the high cost of logistics in the countries of Central Asia creates certain difficulties. To support businessmen, the authorities of Bashkortostan temporarily reimburse part of the transportation costs. However, all parties are confident that this is a temporary solution, and after logistical issues are resolved, international cargo transportation will become more accessible to everyone, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry said.

The delegation included Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Kyrgyz Republic Ainur Samanov, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities of the Republic of Bashkortostan Lena Izotova, consultant of the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in the Kyrgyz Republic Nikolai Babkin and Head of the Department of Exhibition and Fair Activities of the autonomous non-profit organization "Export Support Center of the Republic of Bashkortostan" Lilia Zulkarneva.

The meeting of the delegation from Bashkortostan in Kyrgyzstan is considered an important step in strengthening and expanding economic relations between the two regions.
