ADM, Etihad Airways ink cooperation agreement

Abu Dhabi, March 19, 2013 (WAM) - The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City has recently signed a cooperation agreement with Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates. The agreement is part of Abu Dhabi Government Employees Travel Program," which was launched by Etihad Airways in a bid to offer superb packages, bonuses and rebates tailored to meet the requirements of public servants in Government and Semi Government institutions. Under this Agreement, employees of the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City will enjoy plentiful of superb and comfortable options in the shape of promotional discounts offered by Etihad Airways, and privileges of cancelling the booking or changing flight timings, in addition to other concessions including baggage allowance and extra miles. The Agreement was signed on behalf of the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City by Rashid Khalifa Al Rumaithi, Acting Executive Director of Support Services Sector; and on behalf of Etihad Airways by Harib Mubarak Al Muhairi, Vice President Commercial UAE. Al Rumaithi said that the Municipality would provide Etihad Airways with a list of employees in order to issue the approved cards entitling employees to take advantage of the terms of this important agreement. Harib Mubarak Al Muhairi, Vice President for Commercial Affairs, Etihad Airways, expressed his delight over the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City's decision to join the "Abu Dhabi Government Employees Travel Program," as the Municipality is viewed as a strategic partner. He reiterated Etihad Airways' quest for providing civilised '&' lavish services aboard the national '&' most distinguished carrier in way that that meets the requirements and needs of employees in government and quasi-government institutions in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. "The cooperation pact with the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City will offer various '&' useful options to employees by providing travel services including rebated airfares, besides taking advantage of the Frequent Flyer Program, and the ground services such as processing travel formalities in a handy manner," added Al Muhairi. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
