Ambassador: Azerbaijan, Iraq to establish direct air communication

Baku, Azerbaijan, Jan. 21 By Rufiz Hafizoglu - Trend: The issue of opening direct flights between Azerbaijan and Iraq has already been resolved, Iraqi ambassador to Azerbaijan Heydar al-Barrak told journalists on Jan. 21. "The main details have already been agreed upon. It is expected that flights will be conducted four times a week," the diplomat said. The cost of air tickets for these flights has not yet been defined, the ambassador added. The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Iraq in 2013 amounted to $354.19 million, according to the State Customs Committee (SCC).
