Bahraini side of Bahraini-Egyptian Business Council convenes

Manama, Apr. 20 (BNA): The Bahraini side of the Bahraini-Egyptian Joint Business Council was recently convened chaired by BCCI board member ofand head of the Bahraini side of the Council, Afnan Al Zayani. The meeting appointed Othman Al Rayes as deputy chairperson by acclamation, evaluated the recent visit of the Egyptian delegation to Bahrain, and formed groups to follow up on the outcomes and recommendations of the visit. During the meeting a number of proposals were brought forth including establishing an office for Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB) in Egypt, hosting an exhibition for Egyptian products, launching direct flights on Gulf Air from Bahrain to a number of Egyptian cities, and organizing Egypt Week event in Bahrain and Bahrain Week event in Egypt emphasizing the cultural, business, and industrial aspects of both friendly countries. The meeting also deliberated about the prospect of enhancing business cooperation in a number of areas including tourism, HR and training, and the jewelry sector.
