Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ According to the Bank of Mongolia, a money supply (broad money or M2) at the end of November 2012 reached MNT 7,033.2 billion, decreased by MNT 99.4 billion or 1.4 percent against the previous month and by MNT 920.0 billion or 15.0 percent against same period of 2011.
At the end of November 2012, currency issued in circulation reached MNT 722.1 billion, increasing MNT 4.5 billion or 0.6 percent compared to the previous month, and increasing MNT 43.2 billion or 6.4 percent compared to same period of the previous year.
Loans outstanding amounted to MNT 6,867.8 billion, up by MNT 12.4 billion or 0.2 percent compared to the previous month, and up by MNT 1,429.0 billion or 26.3 percent compared to same period of 2011.
Principals in arrears at the end of November 2012 reached MNT 147.7 billion, increasing MNT 15.2 billion or 11.5 percent compared to the previous month, and by MNT 76.2 billion or 2.1 times compared to same period of the previous year.
At the end of November 2012, the non-performing loans over the bank system reached MNT 298.5 billion, showing a decrease of MNT 7.7 billion or 2.5 percent compared to the previous month, and a decrease of MNT 44.7 billion or 13.0 percent compared to same period of the previous year.
In November 2012, there were 20 trading days and 785.0 thousand shares valued at MNT 424.3 million were traded.
