BCCI delegation concludes Sri Lanka visit

Colombo, Mar. 14 (BNA): Concluding its participation in the Business and Investment Conclave 2016 held in Colombo- Sri Lanka, Bahrain Asian Traders Committee (BATC) of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) visited Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and Industry and met its chairman in the presence of Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa the Advisor of HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
The meeting highlighted the facilities the Kingdom of Bahrain offers to foreign investors and the attractiveness of its business environment, it also mulled cooperation between the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
During the meeting, vice treasurer and head of BATC, Mohamed Sajid, stressed on the competitiveness of the Bahraini business environment and urged Sri Lankan business owners and investors to venture the Bahraini market and exploit the array of facilities offered to foreign investors including the ease of obtaining a commercial register, the 100% ownership of plots, the zero-taxation, and the FTA between Bahrain and the USA.
Sajid also called the Sri Lankan side to offer special facilities to Bahraini investors in order to reinforce business ties and streamline Bahrainis path to the Sri Lankan market.
It is worth to mention that the committee also convened a meeting with Member of the Sri Lankan Parliament Ali Zahir Moulana and attended a parliamentary session.
