BCCI supports Bahraini businesswomen

Manama, Mar. 24 (BNA): Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society at a press conference in the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) has announced its support to the approaching commencement of the "B to B International Businesswomen’s Exhibition", which will be held under the auspices of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of the King of Bahrain and President of the Supreme Council for Women.
The forum and exhibition, which will be held on March 28-30, is organized by the Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society in collaboration with the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Tamkeen, the UNIDO, the Federation of GCC Chambers, and the American Chamber of Commerce in Bahrain. The forum will comprise of lectures, workshops, and panel discussions, which will shed a spotlight on a number of key topics including the challenges faced by businesswomen and solutions, banks’ role in facilitating businesswomen, and other topics related to technology and social responsibility.
The event will also include an exhibition, which aims to offer participants an opportunity for exposure, promotion, and liaison.
Speaking on behalf of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ahlam Janahi board member and head of the Promotion, Exhibitions, and Conferences sector committee reaffirmed the Chamber’s support to businesswomen and all strides in favor of encouraging their entry to the market and empowering their standing, while stressing on the achievements of Bahraini businesswomen and their pivotal role in the national economy.
She also highlighted the importance of the event, which will embrace business leaders, entrepreneurs, government officials, and academics with the purpose of forging and fortifying business relations, exchanging experiences, encouraging trade, partnership and investment activities, and underlining the role of businesswomen in the economy.
Elaborating on the same, Janahi said:
"Hosting such important event in Bahrain mirrors the country’s prestigious standing and competence in attracting and holding major economic events". She added "The event will embrace top business people and entrepreneurs, dignitaries, and officials constituting an invaluable opportunity to exhibit and promote the business environment of Bahrain and the unique facilities it offers to investors".
