BOI to attract more investment to Thailand

BANGKOK, January 4 (TNA) - The Cabinet has approved a state budget of 125 million baht to launch campaigns domestically and internationally, through various media channels, to attract more investment projects to Thailand. Vice Minister Attached to the Prime Minister's Office Kobsak Pootrakool told journalists on Wednesday that the Cabinet made the decision at its weekly meeting earlier in the day. Kobsak noted that the Cabinet endorsed the mid-fiscal year 2016 budget to be allocated to the Board of Investments of Thailand (BOI) to launch the PR campaigns and to organise activities to draw in more investment to support the government's Thailand 4.0 policy. According to the minister, an international seminar, themed "Opportunity Thailand", which will be organised in the country on February 15, 2017 as part of the domestic campaigns, should show Thailand's readiness to become a regional hub and a world leading investment destination.
