Boost to Bahrain-Egypt business ties

Cairo, Apr. 27 (BNA): A high-level delegation from the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) headed by its Chairman Khalid Al Moayyed participated in the Bahraini-Egyptian Joint Business Forum in Cairo- Egypt, on the side-lines of the official visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the Arab Republic of Egypt. The forum was organized jointly by the Federation of Egyptian Industries, Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism and aimed to bolster business between both friendly countries. During the forum, Al Moayed stressed on the importance of the forum constituting an opportunity to discuss business and economic issues and crystallize ideas that aim to step-up cooperation and augment trade levels. Al Moayyed shed a spot light on the rapid growth in the trade volume between Bahrain and Egypt, with a 20% increase from 2014 to 2015 excluding the oil and gas-related trade. From her side, Afnan Al Zayani head of the Bahraini side of the Bahraini-Egyptian Joint Business Council stressed on the deep-rooted relation between Bahrain and Egypt, evident in the collaboration at many levels. She asserted the council’s readiness to exert all efforts to invigorate the flow of investments between both sides and encourage joint ventures.
