Boost to Bahrain-Russia business ties

Manama, Apr. 27 (BNA): Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) has hosted the Bahraini-Russian Forum and B2B meetings in Bait Al Tijjar, in the presence of the Governor of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltvchenko, the Governor of the Capital Governorate Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, the Russian Ambassador to Kingdom of Bahrain, Vagif Garaev, members of the board of directors of the Bahrain Chamber, the Russian business delegation and members of the Bahraini business community. Prior to the forum, the second vice-chairman of the chamber Abdulhameed Al Kooheji held a meeting with the delegation headed by the Governor of St. Petersburg and in the presence of the Capital Governor, the Russian Ambassador, alongside executive members and board members of the chamber. The meetings stressed on the strong Bahraini-Russian bonds and the keenness of the leaderships of both friendly countries to bolster business ties. The meeting also shed a spotlight on prospective areas of cooperation and the future business outlook. Following the meeting, the forum was commenced with a speech by Al Kooheji, followed by Georgy Poltvchenko. The chamber also delivered a presentation on the economic features and business environment of the Kingdom of Bahrain and gave a brief about the chamber. Similarly, representatives from the Russian delegation delivered presentations exhibiting features of the business environment of St. Petersburg, the facilities offered to foreign investors, and highlighting the most flourished and promising sectors.
