Boost to business ties with India

Manama, June 13 (BNA): Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) will actively promote Bahrain-India ties through exhibitions and trade shows said Ahlam Janahi, BCCI Board Member and Head of the Promotions, Exhibitions & Conferences committee.
Janahi met Indian Ambassador Alok Kumar Sinha to take forward her discussions with officials of FICCI and ASSOCHAM, the umbrella organisations of the various chambers of commerce throughout India and the different industrial and investment bodies during her recent visit to India. She said the BCCI was keen to support a Bahrain India Week in the Kingdom which would be organised later in the year by PRM Marketing Consultancy.
"We want to focus on Indian industries and companies that will support the vision for Bahrain’s growth as set out by our leadership," Janahi said,
"Over the past five years, there have been many landmark developments in Bahrain-India relations such as the historic visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Crown Prince and First Deputy Prime Minister to India. During these visits, there were many discussions and MOUs signed to further the economic ties between the two countries. The time has come to take forward this potential between the two countries and translate it into reality."
Ambassador Sinha expressed his support to the project and said the embassy would encourage Bahraini businesses to look at new product lines and service options in India and get Indian companies to tie-up with Bahraini companies.
