CIMB Bank Bags Two Best Awards For Excellence

KUALA LUMPUR, July 11 (Bernama) -- The CIMB Group once again won the "Best Islamic Trade Bank in Asia Pacific" and the "Best Malaysian Trade Bank" titles at the Trade Finance Magazine Awards for Excellence Poll 2012. The second largest bank in Malaysia was also honoured with the "Best Thai Trade Bank Award" for its Asian credentials. "In our annual excellence poll this year, we witnessed the considerable increase in votes, mainly from the corporate sector, for CIMB Group across the board. "The strong results are obviously a reflection of how the market sees the group's banking capabilities in trade finance in the region," said the Managing Editor of Trade Finance Magazine, Jonathan Bell, in a statement on Wednesday. The magazine is a London-based monthly publication by Euromoney. It is the longest standing global publication concentrating exclusively on the international trade finance market. Meanwhile, Thomas Tan, CIMB Group's Head of Global Sales, Foreign Exchange and Transaction, said the bank was proud to have received the recognition from a globally-renowned magazine.
