Delhi to host first lifestyle exhibition from Pakistan

New Delhi, Apr 10 (PTI) Over 100 top brands from Pakistan will be showcased In New Delhi for the first time at a lifestyle exhibition beginning on Thursday. Visitors will have an opportunity to buy the unique Pakistani designs, high-end textiles, jewellery and fashion accessories during the four-day exhibition to be held at Pragati Maidan, the main venue of trade fairs in New Delhi. The event will be inaugurated by the Commerce Ministers of both the countries. "More than 100 exhibitors will showcase high-end fashion and creative work. We have never had so many designs under one roof. It is one of the chains of trade normalisation taking place," Trade Development Authority of Pakistan Chairman Tariq Puri said during a press conference. For the first time, India is hosting such an exposition exclusively for Pakistani traders under one roof, the organisers said. Items that would be showcased include fashion textiles, designer furniture, semi-precious jewellery, leather accessories, food items, marble ornaments and intricate handicrafts. The event will witness brands like Gul Ahmed, AlKaram, Hub Leather, Khaadi, Chen One, Bonanza, Shamaeel by Sitara, Nishat and Orient Textile Mills. PTI
