Dubai International wins Airport of the Year at ATN Awards

Dubai (WAM): Dubai International has been named Airport of the Year at the Air Transport News Awards 2014, which was recently held in Istanbul, Turkey. Organised by Air Transport News, a popular aviation publication, the awards are the only international prizes that award all the main categories of the air transport industry. The award consists of a 24K gold-plated olive tree wreath inspired by the prize given to Olympic Games winners in Ancient Greece. Dubai International won the Award based on votes from the readers of Air Transport News as well as the deliberations of a jury comprising nine executives and experts from different sectors of the aviation industry. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
