Electric buses offer free ride during royal cremation ceremony
BANGKOK, Oct 12 (TNA) – The Transport Co, Ltd in cooperation with the private company launched electric buses to offer free ride for mourners to attend the royal cremation ceremony of HM late King BHumibol Adulyadej.
Jirasak Yaowatchasakulm, President of the Transport Co,Ltd, a state-owned interprovincial bus operator, said three EV buses will run from Mo Chit bus terminal to Mo Chit BTS skytrain station from Oct 13-30 from 6-9 am and from 4pm to 8pm.
The buses come in different sizes with seating capacity of 20, 48 and 60 passengers.
Warakorn Katikawong, executive of the Thai Electric Vehicle Co, Ltd said the bus is developed with new technology and can be the model of passenger buses in the future. Charging time takes only 15 minutes and it can with consistent speed in the distance of 100 kilometres. (TNA)
