Etiqa Takaful Clinches Three Awards

KUALA LUMPUR, July 17 (Bernama)-- Etiqa Takaful Bhd won three awards at the 6th International Takaful Summit in London recently. Etiqa won the Best Bancatakaful and Best Takaful Company awards for the third year and Best Marketing award for the second year at the event. Etiqa Takaful said in a statement that the awards were received by its Chief Executive Officer, Hans De Cuyper. "The recognition and acknowledgement for Etiqa from the international community reflects our growing success in humanising insurance and the Takaful business," De Cuyper said. He said that with more takaful players appearing in the local market, Etiqa Takaful can expect stronger competition. Last year, Malaysia's takaful industry grew 24 per cent to reach RM4.5 billion, making the country the second largest market globally after Saudi Arabia. Malaysia's takaful contribution is expected to reach RM7.64 billion this year.-- BERNAMA
