Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In the first 11 months of 2012, Mongolia traded with 137 countries from all over the world. Total external trade turnover reached USD 10,298.9 million, of which exports made up USD 4,029.9 million and imports made up USD 6,269.1 million. Foreign trade balance showed a deficit of USD 2,239.2 million in the first 11 months of 2012, reflecting USD 534.5 million or 31.4-percent increase compared to same period of the previous year. It was caused by the fact that the import growth was higher by 10.6 points than the export one. Total external trade turnover increased by USD 69.1 miliion or 0.7 percent, of which imports up by USD 301.8 million or 5.1 percent and exports down by USD 232.7 million or 5.5 percent, compared to same period of 2011. Mineral products, natural or cultured stones, precious metal, jewelry, coins, raw & processed hides, skins, fur & articles, animal origin products, and textile articles accounted for 98.1 percent of the total export value amount.
