(USIM) in collaboration with Malaysian Biotechnology Corp Sdn Bhd
(BiotechCorp)has launched the halal analysis lab at Institute of Halal Research
and Management (Ihram), at USIM, in Nilai, Negri Sembilan.
The launch, in conjunction with the third BioNexus Partners (BNP) programme

of USIM Board of Directors.
Also present was BiotechCorp chief executive officer Dr Mohd Nazlee Kamal.
A special unit known as Halal Services and Training Unit was introduced for

and practical training on food, cosmetics, pharmaceutical and others, to the

as it is the centre of excellence at USIM, and it plays the role in increasing
and ensuring the quality in generating knowledge and services towards making it
the centre of knowledge of choice," said Mohd Nazlee in a statement.
The halal concept applied at the Halal Services and Training Unit would

support the biotechnology and life sciences industries in Malaysia through
infrastructure and up-to-date research services.
