Hoora and Gudaibiya hold Jidhafs in Khalid Futsal League

Manama, July 2 (BNA): Hoora and Gudaibiya Youth Center scored a last-gasp winner to hold Jidhafs Youth Center into a 1-1 stalemate in Group 8 of the 6th Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League, held at Khalifa Sports City. Jidhafs found the net through Essam Anwar's own goal in the first half. But Sameer Basheer equalised for Hoora and Gudaibiya Youth Center in the final seconds of the encounter to deny Jidhafs Youth Center from pulling away in the group. The game was the Group 8's top spot decider, but neither of them managed to break away following this draw. Both have four points, while Jidhafs are atop of the group thanks to their better goal record.  In the same group, Karanah Youth Center shared the points with Jurdab Youth Center after a thrilling 4-4 draw. In Group 7, meanwhile, Sanabis Youth Center tighted their grip on the top of the group with a hard-fought 3-2 victory against Ras Ruman Youth Center.  Furtehrmore, East Riffa Youth Center mauled their opponents Karzakan Youth Center 9-3 thanks to Ali Al Noubi, Ali Mothana and Fuad Hassan, all of whom scored a brace each.  The third round of the group stage of the league will begin on Tuesday, where Qadsiya Youth Center will meet Southern Al Sehla Youth Center in Group 3 at 5:00 pm, the same time at which Al Jasra Youth Center will play Al Buhair Youth Center in Group 4. At 6:00 pm, Al Qurrayah Youth Center in Group 3. Tuesday's matches will conclude with Salmabad Youth Center verses Al Wusta Youth Center in Group 4.  On the other hand, commendations of the initiatives of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of West Asian Athletics Asocciation, President of Bahrain Athletics Association (BAA), have continued coming, and this time from Majid Al Majid, President of Ras Al Rumman Youth Center, who hailed the 6th Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League as a platform to incubate youth and help them peak.
