HRH Premier to patronise 45th IFTDO Conference/Exhibition

Manama, Feb. 28 (BNA): Under the patronage of HRH the Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, fifteen senior executives and general managers of renowned companies and international speakers from Bahrain and abroad will be speaking in the 45th Conference and Exhibition for the International Federation of Training and Development Organizations (IFTDO) which Bahrain will be hosting on March 21-23. The three-day Conference, which will be convening at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Bahrain, will host international speakers to talk on various essential leadership topics including return on investment, women leadership in the Middle East, how to manage multigenerational workforce in the GCC, innovative leadership in the new Internet era, investing in people and tackling the barriers to develop successful leaders. The event is organized by the Bahrain Society for Training and Development (BSTD), with Tamkeen as the Strategic Partner for the event. Tamkeen enables Bahrainis to be competitive in the workplace, and productive employees who can help the private sector play a bigger role in the economy of Bahrain. Four important workshops will be held prior to the official opening of the conference on Monday, 21st March, which is expected to draw around 1,000 participants from around the world. Speaking at the Conference too will be the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism Affairs. Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Energy Dr. Abdulhussain bin Ali Mirza, as well as other influential speakers and experts. Other important topics the conference will discuss are leveraging of Social Media for talent acquisition and development, the challenge of leadership in a changing world, and trustworthy leadership. The current President of IFTDO, Engineer Mohammed Mahmoud Al Shaikh, expressed the great gratitude of the BSTD to HRH the Prime Minister for patronizing the Conference and the Exhibition, the second Bahrain is hosting since 2002 – which was then patronized by His Royal Highness the Prime Minister. Mohammed Mahmoud Al Shaikh commented: "Developing the human resources is the most important investment any private or public company can make, because it has a great impact on the returns. This is why we were keen on attracting speakers from the USA, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and other Asian and ME countries to guarantee more in-depth discussions and enrich the exchange of expertise between them."
