Inflation on results of 7 months is 5,7%
jULY 16 (KHABAR) - Karim Massimov, Prime Minister of RK instructed the heads of regions to take measures to reduce tempo of inflation. According to the results of 7 months inflation is 5,7%.
Bakhyt Sultanov, Minister of Economy and Budget Planning said inflation was caused by raise of prices for food products anddependence of national market from import of products.
Since the beginning of year, prices for milk, sugar, sunflower oil and cereals rose significantly. Astana, Almaty cities, East Kazakhstani, Pavlodar and Akmola regions lead according to tempo of raise of inflation. The head of the government said that local authorities worked bad in this sphere.
He instructed the heads of regions to elaborate till August 5 the measures on reducing of prices to restrict inflation. Karim Massimov stressed control will be strict as macro economical stability is the main task of the government.
Karim Massimov, Prime Minister of RK:- You must work hard, in July we must reduce inflation tempo, and we must show the good results in July and August. In August all of you will report personally and now we will select those who will be punished and encouraged.
