Iran adds 25 passenger planes to fleet since June

TEHRAN,Dec.18(MNA)--Iran added 25 passenger planes to its national fleet since the merger of roads and transportation ministry with housing ministry in June, Iran`s roads and urban development minister said. Ali Nikzad told that the private sector has bought 25 new planes for domestic airlines. Iran is in talks with Russia to buy a number of short-range 100-seat passenger planes ,Nikzad said. Iran will add 20 new passenger planes to the national fleet by the next few months, head of the Civil Aviation Organization of Iran, Reza Nakhjavani, said on December 12. Russia has proposed Iran for buying the planes, the minister said, adding that the Civil Aviation Organization of Iran should approve buying the planes.
