Iran Considers Gas Exports To Iraq

Tehran, April 9, IRNA – Deputy Oil Minister for Planning and Monitoring Hydrocarbon Resources Mohsen Khojastehmehr said on Monday that Iran will start gas exports to Iraq as of this year.
Khojastemehr said Iran boasts its successful presence in the gas exports market due to commissioning variety of South Pars oil and gas fields and boost in production.
He called for sound management of gas consumption by the housing and trade sectors to earmark major portion of gas to the industrial sector and exports.
Iran plans to export 30 percent of its LNG output to Europe.
China and India will be the two major markets for Iranian LNG./end
