Iran To Construct Power Plant In Syria

Tehran, March 11, IRNA – Iran has inked an agreement with Syria on construction of a 470 MW combined cycle power plant in Swaida city in south of the Syrian capital city, Damascus, it was announced here on Sunday. Abbas Aliabadi, managing director of Iran Power Plant Projects Management Company (MAPNA), added that the construction peration of the project has been started. He expressed hope that the project would go on stream by next 28 months. On other MAPNA projects underway in Syria, Aliabadi stressed that construction of Tashrin power plant has been finished while Jandar power plant will be constructed in near future./end
