Iran exports to Afghanistan to top $4 bn

Tehran, April 29, IRNA – Iran’s export to Afghanistan will increase to dlrs 4 billion, an official at Trade Promotion Organization of Iran in charge of Afghan commercial affairs said. Foodstuff, construction materials, detergents, pharmaceuticals, plastics, and fuel products including hydrocarbons and solvents are among items exported to Afghanistan, said Farhad Mojallali, adding that Afghanistan is a good market for Iranian products as well as its engineering and technical services. Expressing hope that Tehran-Kabul interaction would boost in near future, he said due to the ongoing civil wars in Afghanistan, the nation is in need of Iranˈs technical and engineering services. Mojallali also said that Iran-Afghanistan trade balance stands at dlrs 2.4 billion in exports and dlrs 32 million in imports that means Iranˈs trade balance is positive. End
