Iran Official Calls For Implementation Of Agreements With Sudan

Tehran, May 6, IRNA – Vice President for International Affairs Ali Saeedlou on Sunday called for rapid implementation of bilateral agreements signed between Iran and Sudan. Saeedlou made the remark in a meeting with top Sudanese presidential advisor Mustafa Osman. Saeedlou said further cooperation between Tehran and Khartoum will not only benefit the two countries but also will be to the interests of all regional countries. He also voiced Iran’s readiness to share its technical and scientific experiences with its brotherly country of Sudan. For his part, the Sudanese official called for expansion of bilateral relations between the two nations. Saeedlou, heading a delegation, flew to Sudan on Saturday to hold talks on various regional and bilateral issues. He was also to submit President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's message to his Sudanese counterpart, inviting him to attend the 16th summit meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) member countries to be held in Tehran late summer./end
