Iran Participating In China-EurAsia Exhibition

Beijing, Sept 3, IRNA – The Second International China-EurAsia Trade Exhibition opened in the Urumchi city, the capital of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in northwest China on Sunday. Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition on Sunday. A total of 90 high-ranking officials from Asian and European countries, as well as international organizations have been invited to the exhibition. About 1,000 Chinese and foreign guests are invited to the exhibition. Iranian Ambassador to China Mehdi Safari and a number of Iranian businessmen attend the exhibition in the city of Urumchi. Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao delivered a speech entitled 'Re-Flourishing of Silk Road. 'Development of the Asian and European countries and their establishing closer ties will help to international peace and stability,' Prime Minister Wen said at the exhibition's opening ceremony. He noted that the previous experiences have shown that the Asian and European countries can determine their fate through their commitment to mutual respect, mutual trust and sincere cooperation. 'They can also achieve the objectives of development,' the Chinese premier added. China-EurAsia Expo is a six-day event. Islamic Republic of Iran and Turkey have the biggest stands in the foreign section of the exhibition. Iranian commercial and economic attaches in IR Iran's Embassy in China, Iran Chamber of Commerce, Kerman Chamber of Commerce and 12 Iranian companies participate in 21 stands of the exhibition. Iranian companies will display products such as hand-woven carpet, handicrafts and foodstuff./end
