Iran Should Have Active Role In World Economy: Ahmadinejad

Caracas, Jan 10, IRNA – Iran should have an active role in the field of international economy and industry, said visiting President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here on Monday. President Ahmadinejad made the remark in a meeting with Iranian economic activists in Venezuela. “Activating Venezuela-Iran economic potentials is in the interest of the two countries,” added Ahmadinejad. President Ahmadinejad noted that Iran with its talented human resources has made good progresses in high-tech field and its products are qualified based on the latest international standards. President Hugo Chavez welcomed President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at the Venezuelan Presidential Palace on Monday. Heading a high-ranking delegation, President Ahmadinejad is in Venezuela on the first leg of the four-nation tour that will also take him to Nicaragua, Cuba and Ecuador./end
