Irtysh plant partially repaid debt on wages
Ust-Kamenogorsk, 19 December 2008, (Khabar) - The wage debt to workers at the Irtysh chemical metallurgical plant has been partially repaid. One of the founders representing the “BI Group” executed the decision at a special sitting and transferred about 26 million tenge to the enterprise. It was possible to reach such positive results due to the well coordinated work of the Government and the “Nur Otan” party.
At a briefing in Astana, the official representative of the National Democratic Party Oksana Peters said that the situation of both the plant and the Pervomaisky village have become stable.
Oksana Peters, official representative of “Nur Otan” National Democratic Party:
- The party is controlling and conducting measures on transferring 10 million tenge from the side of the second founder “IHMZ” and the Investment Fund of Kazakhstan. Nur Otan is providing practical support to the plant concerning a number of issues including examining the issue with the ministry of Finance about returning value added tax to IHMZ to the sum of 70 million tenge.
At the briefing, Oksana Peters provided detailed information on the illegal use of state funds by a national company called “KTJ”. All data was presented to the general prosecutor’s office at the 6th sitting of the Republic’s public council for fighting corruption and relates to monitoring during 2006. Meanwhile, the workers who participated in these violations have been sacked.
