Jakarta Index Gains 9.99 Points On Wednesday

Jakarta, Jan 9 (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) opened trade on Wednesday morning with composite share price index rising 9.99 points . The BEI index gained 0.23 percent to 4,407.53 points with index of 45 most liquid stocks rising 0.11 percent to 753.05 points. E-Trading Securities` analyst Betrand Raynaldi said technically the rise in the BEI index constituted part of consolidation. Bertrand predicted that the BEI index would close higher slightly at 4,340-4,430 points today. Panin Sekuritas` analyst Purwoko Sartono said the BEI index would fluctuate but tends to rise to the level of 4,375-4,416 point in the closing session today. Meanwhile regional markets Hang Seng recorded an increase of 0.42 percent in index to 23,208.58 points, Nikkei-225 posted an increase of 0.30 percent to 10,539.45 points with Straits Times falling 0.04 percent to 3,204.20 points.
